Red ants on a red flower Can you see the morning dew?

Tour guide Our shadow (we were actually waving lol)
We were really exhausted at certain points of the hike
Towards the ending, we spotted a speed boat and thought we could get back quick lol
Bus failed to bring us to the depot, so we hopped onto the next 93 bus for free!
It was interesting cos this is the only trip to Macritchie Reservoir
with no adults or teachers there to guide the way.

and this repeats everyday.
Finally finished the third booklet.
A trip to polyclinic to check out my feet.
It all started when I was dancing in my room barefooted 4 years ago,
that resulted an unsightly sight on the ball of my sole - foot callous.
(the word 'callous' is pronounced as 'careless')
I silly-ly opened a box of callous plaster with small words 'cut to fit',
and pasted it over my feet and left it to heal for one whole day.
As the plaster contains 0.57 of salicylic acid, a white patch was seen
when I removed the plaster that night. My feet, both the callous and
the non-callous portions, under the plaster, became white and numb.
Dumb right? I was supposed to cut to the exact shape and paste on the callous.
How callous can I get?

Yep, this is my 200th entry and its been a wonderful ride then and it is still a wonderful ride now!
What are the top 10 'first time's in chronological order
that made me who I am today? Check it out below!
#10: So, solo?
I performed an "All Nite (Don't Stop)" solo dance in front of the whole school back in 2004.
For my first performance, everyone I knew were surprised as they didn't knew me the way I are.
It was a great experience though I wore spectacles that made me looked so nerdy.
#9: Flick, flick, flick - Picture perfect.
I had my first award in secondary school life in 2005 hosted by Nanyang Polytechnic.
The name of the competition was "Facets of Life".
Submitted a picture of a grasshopper entitled "Perfect Camouflage",
I got in first place and won myself another camera!
#8: Back to Basics
After performing with my siblings during primary school days in the anklung group,
I was with the Siglap Chinese Orchestra to perform a chinese new year song "金蛇狂舞"
on National Day. Jun Xiang and I were in the cello section and its just so funny now to think
that we were even in the orchestra two years ago where we were juniors but seniors at heart.
#7: Is the audience listening?
My first public performance to raise awareness for cancer - the Club Momo experience.
While my friends were working, I went around looking for events to perform when
this event caught my eye. It was truely an eye-opening experience for me.
I ended my second song with "is the audience listening?" to remind the public.
#6: 11:45 Minutes
Yep, the time above is my record for running for the 2.4km.
I thought I did very well although it may not be to some.
#5: Danger Level
Finally after 4 years in secondary, I completed a phase of my life.
I received my N level results and I passed!
#4: Graduation Night
Well, not really the night but more to the video.
It was my first time doing something that is totally visual for a large scale of audience.
I was the only one who was took charge of 5N2's class graduation night video.
Videos after videos, many agreed that it is the best class video of all.
#3: Chalet Challege
My first time staying over at a chalet for two nights, with another event in between.
It happened last year when Jocelyn invited me and a few others to her own chalet,
and there was the class picnic going on in East Coast Park.
Ellisa and I returned back to the chalet after the picnic.
#2: Thailand Trip
This trip was fun and interesting because we were revisiting the place and
its my only trip till date that I took more pictures than ever.
It was truely an amazing experience.
#1: Giving from the Heart
Ever since start of 2007, I have been wanting to perform but to no avail.
Being able to have the stage to myself for 30 minutes was really a dream come true.
Having an old friend, Valerie, on stage singing two duets was icing on the cake.
Now that all my resolutions have been completed,
I would now just have to wait for my O level results!

January 03
I am so glad that I am able to perform once again after the Club Momo Experience in 2006!
In 2007, I've been trying my best to perform for any events in school including
Teachers' Day and Graduation Night.
However, for certain reasons, it just didn't work out well.
Although not many responded to the smses I paid,
but being able to perform on this very stage was priceless.
It all started when I was surfing the net once more to check if I could perform any events
just like what I did last year. I started doing this in late November, after the O levels.
I so happen to log onto heartware.org and saw this event that says "Giving from the Heart".
Knowing that this would be a good time to perform again,
I submitted a form and so I waited for a reply from them.
I decided to give them a call on 26 December, a week after my thailand trip, as there was still no reply.
Finally I was scheduled for Monday to do the opening of a closing event.
Sure I had to change my msn theme to promote the event.
"Can I perform after your slot?" Valerie asked.
She is my primary school friend, best known as Hsi Hong,
who added me on Friendster very recently - about late November.
I was interested to help her with the pursuasion to the organisation.
However, she was rejected as they mentioned that there was already a solo singer - Me,
and so they didn't want too many solo singers.
They suggested us to do a duet and I was like 'yeah, why not?'
We recorded our own vocals and send it to each other
to practice the songs in about four days.
On the day itself, I met Firdaus because I thought that he would
help me to calm my nervous system down.
When I met him, he seemed very nervous - more nervous than I was.
You know why? He wanted to check out if he could work at Bata. lol.
Finally, after a drink at Macdonalds, he got the application form.
We headed straight to Douby Ghaut.
Lost my appetite while at Burger King.
Met Valerie and did some rehearsal in a garden.
It was just so funny cos its been really awhile since I last saw her,
and now I am singing with her in a garden. lol. random thought.
This whole performance was very well done in my opinion.
Despite the fact that the microphone was giving way
halfway back into love, Valerie's sudden coughing as well as the skipping of the disc,
we were able to put up a great opening sequence for the night!
I wanna give some shoutouts:
1. Valerie
She is a very easy going person and it was really fun working with her.
We had lots of laughter while choosing and recording the songs.
Just that alone helped to ease the tension.
I can't believe that we sang a duet. haha.
This was her first duet after many singing competitions and
it was truely a fun experience for the both of us.
2. Firdaus
Without him, I would not have any idea where to get a belt for $5
to hold onto my jeans, hence, I would not have been able to
sit down during 'When You Say Nothing At All'. Thanks for everything.
3. Family
For all that support of course. Video/picture taking and all,
the presence was felt. Brother - made my leg and neck hair
stood for 5 seconds when he wished me good luck for the
performance through sms because, usually, he would be
giving that "yucky" look on his face. Without my family,
I wouldn't be living at all. lol.
4. Melise
"Hi, I'm your primary school friend, Melise" she said.
I was blind without my spectacles. I couldn't see her.
Thanks for being there, giving the support despite
being tied down by projects. I think Valerie and Melise
had shock to see each other backstage. lol.
5. Zul
Thanks dude for coming down to give that support.
Zul had been caught singing and clapping loudly in certain
parts of the video recorded lol.
