Been rather lazy to actually update here as you can see haha!
Anyway, these few days I feel difficulty swallowing.
Could it be because i started using the muscle-built? I hope not
- recently alot of people who have been working out, die.
Yesterday we had dinner at Pan Pacific and everyone looked great!
I felt that its been along time ever since I last wore something rather than my daily giordano-me shirt,
let alone going a wedding dinner. The service was tip-top but the food was average though.
All in my mind was 'Is this going to be like grad nite (but without a bride and a groom)?'
2/3 more weeks!!

Ain't life wonderful?
Isn't it wonderful?
Isn't everything wonderful now?
Everclear's Wonderful
(:
According to Zul's blog, its like about 31 days to O levels.
Ain't it scary now?
I cannot wait to see how well did I do for my Combined Humans.
I really wish wish wish that I can attend the 3 month JC thingy
but I think a miracle won't happen =(
"you need 6 subjects to go JC. currently you have 14 points.
the remaining subjects, grades must be less than 6 points."
Now I totally believe that I can never get it.
I am left with Chinese, Combined Humans, A.Maths and DNT.
That means the best three out of those must be 6 points in total.
Combined Humans: the most I calculated would be 3, DNT too.
A.Maths and Chinese should already be a fail grade.
Anyway, I do believe that Roy will go to JC!
Okay. Anyway whats with me these days?
Basically is the after-prelims syndrome
: feeling of studying for the Os but too lazy
Oh yeah, recently, I was given a merit award
: Friends Of Singa erm Courteous Award,
was the only guy who received this award.
What's on my mind right now?
Everything relating to GradNite actually.
From 'what will i wear?', 'what will happen?'
'should i perform?', 'what should i bring?'
ya da da
I just don't understand how
you can smile with all those tears in your eyes
and tell me everything is wonderful now

Ratoolette? nono.. Ratolete? hm.. Ratoille? ahh! Ratatouill
(What a name for a show!)
Yep. Watched it with Firdaus and Chin Sian at Century Square and it was a rather interesting show. The same feeling I get when I was watching Finding Nemo - very refreshing compared to the daily blockbuster movies. Ratatouill tells about a rat pursuing his dream of being a cook. Initially, I was wondering how they were going to make a rat famous because people already knows that rats are like pests (Not trying to say that we should treat them like pets). Throughout the whole show, it was interesting how they played around with the characters and made it easier for a rat to become famous. Although the ending was predictable, Ratatouill kept changing the audiences' emotions. From happiness to worrisome, the audiences of all ages would be watching closely frame after frame. The part that caught my eye was regarding the food critic. In my mind I was thinking that there is a subliminal message for people who gives ratings for movies that 'saying something negative about a movie (or anything) comes by easily as compared to saying something which is positive'.
Evan Almighty. The movie is funny indeed, is just how high your humour level is. However, the downside of it was that the show is too exaggerating when it came to the flood because the ark seemed easily breakable when it went straight down. I guess that movies are not ment to be thought twice. Haha!
*SNAP BACK TO REALITY*
Everyone at home seems to be feeling moody.
Anyway, as always.
Science practical exam on Monday,
History exam on Tuesday,
Chinese paper two and Chemistry on Wednesday,
Amaths 1 and Physics on Thursday,
D&T next Monday,
Science MCQ and Amaths 2 next Tuesday.

Sitting on the green-clothed beachchair, Derek gets a second surprise interview last Sunday from Orange Magazine once again (Read the previous interview in July last year). Its the week's holidays and we finally got a chance to catch up with him! Check this interview before he sits for his Os this year!
Orange: Prelim is around the corner right?
Derek: Yeah, it started on 29th August with English followed by the next day with Social Studies, Chinese paper one and CLB [Chinese Syllabus 'B']. On 31st August we did not have any exams because it was Teachers Day celebration. The prelims will continue with Sciences once school reopens.
Orange: Are you prepared for it?
Derek: Somewhat. This prelims is said to be the O level standard, and not the higher standard when it was set in Term 3's practice exams. I would usually study the night before the actual exam so that I won't forget. I'm not the type who studies consistently - I just can't. I felt confident for Social Studies, English paper one only as well as CLB.
Orange: I've heard something interesting happened for CLB. Tell me more.
Derek: On that day [30th August], I had to take three papers. It started with Social Studies in the morning, followed by Chinese paper one. All my friends went home except me because I had to take the both papers for CLB immediately after my Chinese paper in the hall. It was rather impromptu because I got to know only the day itself. At the hall, there was only one column of students sitted down as they were stuck to the chair, waiting for me so that the examiners could start the exam. Once sitted, the papers were given out and I could remember my friends telling me that the Chinese used in CLB is equivalent to 'Primary Four Standard'. I do agree to a certain extend because the composition section was given as a picture form, by forming a storyline out of 6 images. However, there were words that were not familar to me at all in paper two. The students kept turning their heads around talking to each other. The main examiner, who was a retired teacher, did little to keep them focused. She banged hard on the table, adding to the noise pollution, while I was writing my composition, demanding the rest to keep quiet. When I did my final checking, the examiner walked over and asked me politely in English "Are you done yet?" while everyone were having their eyes on me. I said "yeah" and the examiner announced to everyone "Okay, put your pens down". We ended about half an hour earlier.
Orange: [Laughs] Its good that everyone went home earlier than expected, wasn't it?
Derek: It was. [Laughs] Instead of going home at 2pm, we went home at 1:30pm.
Orange: We heard that you were actually going to perform for Teachers Day once again after three years.
Derek: Yes, it was supposed to happen but the timing clashed with the prelims.
Orange: What did you intended to perform?
Derek: The initial idea is to perform a stripped down version of La Isla Bonita (by Madonna) on a piano instrumental of In The End (by Linkin Park) with a little surprise chorus from Hung Up (Madonna). It would be accompanied by an appropriate video backdrop to allow the audience to feel the warm ambience. I thought that it would be a rather unique performance compared to the annual rock bands and strumming of guitars. I would probably will save this when the time comes.
Orange: I am much anticipated to hear that! What are your plans after O levels?
Derek: A lot of my friends are luring me to work with them during this break, I would need time to consider because I feel that it is not something to think about right now. We should be thinking of the prelims and the O levels itself.
Orange: We at Orange Magazine wishes you all the best in your exams.
Derek: Thank you.
